Frequently Asked Questions

We have put together a list of what we consider to be the most frequently asked self storage questions. Please take a look through and see if you can find the answer you are looking for. We are always happy to help if the solution isn’t on this page.

Our reception opening hours are 10.00 – 14.00 Monday to Friday. The storage facility is open from 08.30 – 17.00 Monday to Friday, although 24hr access is optional. Please see individual storage plans for specific details.

We currently have three sizes of container available, the largest being 20 foot (20′ x 7′6″ x 7′8″), equivalent to 1280 cubic feet, the medium being 10 foot (10′ x 7′6″ x 7′8″), equivalent to 640 cubic feet and the smaller 8 foot container (8′ x 7′3″ x 7′3″), equivalent to 420 cubic feet.

Yes you can (subject to availability). We will help you complete the rental agreement and you will need to provide TWO forms of identity, one of which must be photo ID (a passport or driving licence), proof of address (a recent utility bill or bank statement from a UK address) and a means of payment (debit/credit card or paypal). You can then move in straight away.

Initially, your first payment must be made via credit or debit card. After your initial payment has been made you can continue to pay by credit or debit card, cheque, PayPal or BACS payment.

Insurance is a requirement when renting self storage space within the UK. We can arrange storage specific cover for only £1.00 including insurance tax, per week, per £1,000 of goods insured. Please see insurance key facts for a full list of rates. If insurance is already in place for your belongings, evidence in the form of the policy and certificate will be required.

You will have to sign a Storage Licence Agreement before you move in, this is the UK law. You will be given a full welcome pack with copies of the terms and conditions, your contract and details of your storage agreement. Our friendly staff will explain these to you and answer any questions you may have.

You can store almost anything at ADP Self Store, as long as it’s not perishable, flammable or illegal! Please refer to our prohibited items list for details of what you CANNOT store with us.

We do not have van hire facilities, however there are van hire companies local to the Bodmin area.

Yes, we have floodlights in the yard, however you will need to provide your own battery powered torches or lights for your containers.

We require 2 weeks notice. There is a minimum of 4 weeks booking period with all our storage solutions.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you lose your key fob and we can cancel it remotely. A £50 charge will be made to replace your key fob and cover administrative costs.
